Jenni SocNet module brings includes these tools:
1. Network Management
The key component of any social networking web is the ability to build networks by sending and responding to invitations. The Jenni SocNet module is no exception. Employees can build networks of colleagues by sending out networking invitations, accepting (or declining) invitations and managing their 'friends'. Moreover, because employees can 'meet' colleagues through ideas, collaboration and innovation projects on Jenni's main idea management module, people can quickly build international networks across your entire enterprise. Moreover, employees can readily communicate with individuals -- or their entire networks -- in order to share ideas, get feedback or seek specialised expertise.
2. Tagging
Employees can tag their colleagues (and themselves) with key words that describe experience, skills and knowledge. This is particularly useful with tags that would not be obvious from a person's position in the company; such as "creative", "Chinese speaker", "artistic" and so on.
Employees can also search the Genius Directory (Jenni's directory of users) by tags or browse tags in order to find colleagues with special skills, knowledge or expertise. Thus, whenever an employee is launching a new project, she can readily identify colleagues with the 'tags' she needs - and contact them.
3. Blogging
SocNet uses our own Saboutme blog platform, which is optimised for use in a closed network. SocNet is easy to use and readily searchable. Individuals can quickly set up their own blogs and begin posting immediately. Teams can set up collaborative blogs on particular themes. Managers can set up blogs specifically for their ideas campaigns.
And you can easily search multiple blogs using the Saboutme search engine.
