Dear Dr. Ecommerce:

Basically I am a lover of books. I have a lot of Rare Books on India. And I have been preparing catalogues of Books on India both rare and new ones. Now I would like to sell books on India to the world outside. Please let me know the method of selling these titles on-line.

Dear Mohan:

If you want to start small and for almost no investment, I suggest you offer some of your rare books on India via one of of the on-line Auction sites such as eBay or Amazon Auctions.

Otherwise, take a look at this question and answer - in which I explain how to get started in e-commerce.

In addition, there are on the Internet a lot of discussion forums devoted to books. I suggest you join some of these. Don't blatantly sell your books (this will probably get you kicked off the forum). Simply participate and share your love and enthusiasm for Indian books. And be sure that the signature at the end of all your e-mails includes a link to your web site. People interested in Indian books will surely visit your web site. You can find forums at Topica and Yahoo Groups.
