Hi Dr. Ecommerce,
My question is : What about e-commerce and outsourcing ? Is there any
connection or does the first one help the second to flourish?
Rachida.
Dear Rachida:
A lot of e-businesses use outsourcing for two reasons:
Outsourcing is a new trend in business. E-commerce is also a new trend
in business. Hence, it is not at all surprising to find companies doing
e-commerce and outsourcing.
E-Commerce facilitates outsourcing. Electronic orders to a merchant
can immediately be sent to suppliers who can provide their relevant
products or services necessary to fulfilling the order. At the same
time, an e-business can outsource (for example) help-desk answering
services from Ireland, software programming from the Czech republic,
web site maintenance from Belgium and management consultancy from Britain.
But, because the face of the company is on the Internet, customers need
never know that a small business is in fact outsourcing almost everything
from the various suppliers around the globe.
Good luck,
Dr. Ecommerce
