Hi Doctor

Could you please send me any (detailed) check-lists, guidelines, audit programmes that will help a risk manager or auditor to work with any e-commerce project in identifying key controls that should be in place throughout the project life cycle?

Thanks and Regards

Kesavan

Dear Kesavan:

How about the Dr. Ecommerce eRiskManager4.2 software - it's just Euro 999.95!?!

Put away your credit card - I'm just joking. Frankly, you are asking for an awful lot of a free service. In any event, e-commerce is still relatively new and as a result, there are few tried and tested risk management check lists, audit programmes, etc.

That said, now that the dot.com bubble has burst, so too have high expectations that dot.coms were somehow special and weren't subject to the usual laws of business. As a result, traditional risk analysis is probably more applicable to e-business than many people might have thought.

In the meantime, I suggest you use your favourite search engine to find risk management info on the net.

Good luck,

Dr. Ecommerce
