I'd like to know that too! If hear I hear anything, I'll let you know.

The .eu domain wasn't in ICANN's list of approved new top level domains announced on 16 November 2000. So, at the earliest, it will be late 2001 before it is possible to register a .eu domain name.

Although it is almost certain that the .eu domain name will eventually be given the go-ahead, the real question is what procedures will be necessary to register a .eu domain name.
