Dear Dr. Ecommerce,

The reason I am writing to you is to learn whether there is an opportunity for me to have a traineeship in your place. In particular I am interested to know whether you offer such a scheme for
students and hence if I can apply for it.

I am a student of European Studies of The Poznan University of Economics in Poland, International Political Relations faculty, Management department. Every year the University offers to its students few places on scholarships organised by the European program, Socrates-Erasmus. This year I got accepted and this is why I had an opportunity to study in Aalborg University in Denmark. After one semester of studies I was accepted to take part in the Master Program which the University provides.

Currently I am having one semester off, but I am starting from February. In the first of the two semesters, I have to complete
include traineeship in one of European countries.

Since my studies implies one of the European Union institutions as the best place for internship I would like to know if it could be possible in relation to your office.

It would be very nice if you could answer my questions.

For lots of information about being a trainee at the European Commission or other European institution, take a look at http://europa.eu.int/comm/stages/index_en.htm. If you specifically want to work in my area, you'll have to see if there is an opening in the Information Society Directorate General's Directorate C (New Methods of Work and Electronic Commerce) look especially for a stage in the Electronic Commerce unit.
