21 Oct 00, Sri Lanka:

Dear Dr. E,

First of all, a long over-due and great concept.

What I need to know is that for an informative travel site which transacts business (B2B & B2C) as well, do we have the right to print photographs from brochures, travel mags, and other sites without the original photographer's / owner's written permission?

Regards

Homi

Dear Homi:

No.

You will need to get permission to use the images unless the brochure, web site or what ever clearly states you have the right to use their images.

If you are using their images to sell their services, however, the chances are they will allow you to use the images.

All the best,

Dr. Ecommerce
