Dear Dr Ecommerce

Our company is based in the United Kingdom. We sell authentic American products, ranging from car cleaning products, beauty products, designer clothing, pet care products, household products and much more...

We are looking to advertise in trade magazines specifically for those products or trade magazines in general. Initially we are looking at the Belgium, French, Spanish and German market. We are also interested to find out where could advertise beside "The Net".

Could you give me information or web-addresses where I can find the relevant info.

I assume you are selling business to business if you want to advertise in trade magazines.

I am not familiar with specific trade publications in these areas. However, I have just visited Yahoo UK, clicked on "News and Media", "Magazines" and "Trade Magazines" and found a massive collection of such magazines coming from all over the world. This would be a good place to start.

It is certainly worth visiting some trade shows on the continent to make contacts. You'll also be able to pick up most of the trade magazines at these shows.

Finally, you should think about joining the Association of International Business, a virtual association with a very helpful and friendly discussion forum.
