Sir,

I am working on the design and development of the E-procurement part of dot.com.

The project basically is a B2B with the main model consisting of the Exchange and Auction models.

Now since these sources of procurement are already there how do I incorporate the E-procurement in this.

Regards,

Vikas

Dear Vikas:

Basically, you need to design a web site that automates your processes according to the system that works for your organisation. In it's simplest format, you would have a web site on which you publish requirements and where suppliers and potential suppliers can submit their offers.

If you want to incorporate reverse auctions, you could do this by publishing your requirements and letting suppliers bid on fulfilling these requirements by offering smaller and smaller bids.

The advantage to this is it can improve your, and your suppliers' efficiency tremendously. And the more you automate the process, the more your staff can focus on performing value added activities.
