Dear Dr. E-Commerce

I am developing an Eumedi's pilot project for Euro-Mediterranean Electronic Commerce, and, as I suppose you know, on page number 12 (Guidelines for, Applicants - Eumedis Pilot Project - Eumedis Strand 2) are the Project Objectives. And particularly, on page 13, you can find:

A2) Technically adequate [4x]: Project proposals should highlight the qualities of the technical solution chosen, and how this solution corresponds to the needs of the sector of intervention chosen.

And here is my problem. I really need to identify which are the specific needs of the sector of the Euro-Mediterranean Electronic Commerce in order to prepare my proposed technical solution.

I have been navigating a lot through the Internet, and in spite of that, I was not able to find what I was looking for.

Yours sincerely

Víctor

Dear Víctor:

As you probably know, the proposals for the Eumedis programme will be evaluated by independent experts. Hence, it is their perception of the specific sector needs that counts as far as getting your proposal accepted.

I assume you've taken a look at the Eumedis web site. You'll find a lot of information and links that should provide you with more information. Also, Chambers of commerce as well as your Mediterranean partners should be able to help. It would also be useful to find partners who have past experience in the Eumedis programme as they should have a clear idea on preparing a successful proposal.

One last comment - the quality of writing of a proposal plays a more important role than you might think. Although it should be the quality of the proposal itself that matters, Evaluators are only human and if a proposal is well written and clear, it obviously stands a better chance of acceptance than does a poorly written proposal. Hence, make sure you write it well and get an outsider, someone completely uninvolved in your proposal to critically proof-read it for you.
