Dear Sir, Madam,

I am working for 3rd-elevation, a Dutch based company, that will soon launch her European online gaming community site. On this we would like to make it possible to sell entertainment products to our community members. However e-commerce is not yet our core business and therefore we are looking for a company, that is able to help us with the back-end (purchasing, fulfilment, distribution, customer service) and could do this in Europe. This will mean that they will have to have a European network, for distribution etc.

Until know it has been very difficult for us to find a company, that is able to fulfil our needs. Could you please tell me if you know a company which might be able to help us out. I would appreciate it.

Kind Regards,

Roderick Roth

Dear Roderick:

I can't personally recommend any companies that fit your needs. But I do have a couple of suggestions:

1. Join the NowEurope discussion list. This is an active community of people with an interest in the Internet and E-Commerce. You could mention your interest there and probably you will get some responses. Needless-to-say, you should check out any companies you are thinking of partnering with very carefully.

2. Join the eRevolution discussion list. This is a new and smaller discussion list which we host. You can also post your interest there.

3. I assume you have already done searches on the Internet for prospective partners. But if not, get busy with your favourite search engine.

4. Go to a software shop and look at games that are produced outside of the Netherlands, particularly by small companies. Find out who is the European distributor. This should be on the box - if not, you can check with the shopkeeper.

All the best,

Dr. Ecommerce
