Rob Mahieu has over 20 years experience in innovation. In the 80s he oversaw the development and marketing of the first CDI (Compact Disk Interactive) with Telecity, a subsidiary of Philips Holland. In the late 80s, Rob founded Optimal CD and won a nomination from the King Baudoin Foundation as "Young Entrepreneur 1988".

In the 90s, Rob was involved as a marketing consultant in a number of innovative new technology projects involving multimedia, database and print-on-demand products. Wishing to share his innovation expertise with businesses in the Benelux region (Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg), Rob developed an idea management software based on MS SQL together with Limburg University. Pilot clients included Siemens and Douwe Egberts.

In 2007, Rob was introduced to Jenni idea management and entered into an agreement to market the service in Benelux, focus on his areas of expertise: marketing and business development.

Rob is responsible for several innovative additions to Jenni, including the integration of i-depot, a service of the Benelux Office for Intellectual Property allowing users to register ideas for future intellectual property registration.
