Radovan Gavalec was a freelance programmer for nearly a decade before he launched Rag Tools in 2000 in order to support his growing business. Although widely experienced in programming languages and technologies, Radovan specialises in database driven web applications using open source technologies.

His company has built a variety of applications for Czech government offices, local and international companies including Vodaphone, Brno International Business School, Tespo, Böhm & Partner and many others.

Unlike many software developers, Radovan's first concern is understanding the needs of clients and developing a conceptual project designed to meet those needs. Only then does he -- and his colleagues -- determine which technology will best meet client needs.
