Creativity unleashes constructive potential. Maren’s passion for creativity stems from this experience in how it can unleash productive potentials when nourished in organizational contexts. She views the ability to innovate as any organization’s key to survival and prospering.

As an Innovation Coach Maren resorts to her knowledge from her M.S. in Creative Studies in combination with her experience in business development. With her innovation consultancy Innoviva she supports organizations in enhancing their ability to innovate by strengthening their innovation culture. The economical value added of a creative organizational culture goes far beyond mere ideas. In her masters project Maren explored the connection between Appreciative Inquiry (AI) and Creative Problem Solving (CPS). She deduced several practical possible applications she now uses in her consulting activity.

Maren has a M.S. in Creative Studies (SUNY, Buffalo, USA) and has a M.S. in Psychology (RWTH Aachen, Germany), with focus on occupational psychology. She is a trained systemic consultant (Wiesloch Institute, Germany), a certified PRINCE 2 Practitioner and a Competent Toastmaster (CTM). She is fluent in German and English, speaks good French and basic Flemish.

Maren has more than 10 years of working experience spanning several industries. As a project manager for Deutsche Post Renten Service she was responsible for product development. She was Communications Manager for a technical integration project at DHL, Brussels. She designed a learning center for a Procter & Gamble plant according to learning-ergonomical standards as her Psychology master thesis. In 1999 she won a case study contest tendered for students of IT, business and economical sciences. During her graduate studies at the RWTH Maren chaired the local branch of a student initiative (Market Team) for one year and conducted several projects with companies.

Maren founded a socializing network in the expat-community in Brussels. It yielded many inspiring conversations and connections, and a marriage this year. Maren’s escape from any stress is music – writing and consuming it – and she enjoyed recording an unpublished CD with her favorite musician Arno in Bonn.
